Mix fabulous contemporary dance, an intimate cabaret space and a ridiculously small stage, and find yourself at Dances for a Small Stage 23. Featuring some of Vancouver’s best local talent, Dances for a Small Stage® 23 opens the doors on a fresh, up-close-and-personal view of the contemporary dance scene. With drinks in hand, sit back, relax and enjoy a great show performed in an exhilarating, hip environment. This is new dance, made to measure.

The cabaret-themed evening boasts an impressive array of local and national talent, including Tara Cheyenne Friedenberg, Billy Marchenski, Delia Brett, Kim Tuson, and Toronto artist Susie Burpee.  Also contributing their unique multimedia and interdisciplinary offerings is genre-defying Vancouver Company Out Innerspace.

The combined ensemble represents an indelible mix of style and experience, including traditional ballet, contact improvisation, character-driven contemporary dance, and more.  Their collaboration promises to culminate in an evening of stirring, provocative, and truly unforgettable dance.

“…the place to go to get the pulse of the dance scene.” – The Georgia Straight
