Club Five Sixty, 560 Seymour Street
Don’t miss the biggest party of the 2013 PuSh International Performing Arts Festival! A veritable buffet of creativity spread throughout the nooks and crannies of Club Five Sixty, the Opening Gala for the ninth annual PuSh Festival—hosted by Juno award-winning musician Dan Mangan and CTV News anchor Mi-Jung Lee—will be packed with live music, video projections, spontaneous performances, and surprise guests.
Musical acts include the energetic and eclectic quartet Basketball, drawing on heavy percussion and electronics influenced by world music; a “mix of pastoral pop and percussion-bombed art rock” (The Georgia Straight) from The Belle Game; and the two-man Motown-loving DJ crew that always keeps the dance floor packed—The East Van Soul Club.
You’ll also have the opportunity to visit our “Open Library”, witness the creation of live fictions by local writers and ham it up with your friends in the photo booth. This year, PuSh passholders get in for FREE. See you there!
Tickets only $10! Purchase online through Eventbrite.
