Aboriginal Performance Series presented by Vancity

January 25, 2012

The 2012 PuSh Festival Aboriginal Performance Series presented by Vancity aims to profile compelling and virtuosic projects that transform perceptions, provoke questions and explore tensions through a range of indigenous performance, in order to foster a broader understanding and interaction of contemporary indigenous artists and their diverse cultures.

Linda Ryan, Communications Consultant for Community Investments at Vancity shared some words with us about the value of supporting this series.

At Vancity we define wealth as resilient, ‘rich‘, whole, healthy communities. One of our greatest strengths is our ability to connect with the communities in which we operate and where we live. That’s why we’re supporting the Aboriginal Performance Series and events like the PuSh Festival, together we can deepen connections to build resilient, rich, whole, healthy communities.  After all, at Vancity we’re all about Good Money™. We make you good money by putting money to good. Learn more.

The Aboriginal Series opens tonight with Beat Nation Live, and continues with No. 2, Almighty Voice and His Wife, Michael Greyeyes Keynote Manifesto Address: Staging Ethnicity, and Ghostkeeper.
