Actor, playwright, bestselling author: Carmen Aguirre is an artist of diverse talents, and her career is a testament to the motivating power of the activist spirit.
Carmen spent much of her teens and early twenties in South America, where she worked in the underground anti-Pinochet movement. She attended Vancouver’s Studio 58 in the nineties, and went on to become a prolific writer of plays—many of them proudly left-wing in their politics. As a performer, she has over 80 film, television and stage credits.
