PuSh welcomes Bonnie Sun as new Communications Manager

July 08, 2013

Today marks the first official day for Bonnie Sun, joining the PuSh International Performing Arts Festival as the new Communications Manager. Working with the rest of the PuSh team, Bonnie will oversee the Festival’s marketing and communications tasks. Bonnie takes over for Kara Gibbs who has moved to the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts. PuSh thanks Kara for the 4+ years of love and energy she has given us. We wish both Bonnie and Kara the best in their new positions!

About Bonnie
Bonnie has extensive experience working and volunteering in the non-profit arts sector. Specifically, her career in the cultural industry began upon graduation from the University of Alberta, first at The Glenbow Museum in Calgary, then after moving to Vancouver in 2005, at The Dance Centre. This was her gateway to the world of performing arts and led to communications positions at New Works and Eponymous, Vancouver’s leading cultural management agencies. Under the guidance and mentorship of Barb Clausen and Jim Smith at these organizations, Bonnie has worked with some of Canada’s highest profile contemporary dance companies.

Bonnie is honoured and delighted to join the PuSh Festival team. This being her first Festival, she is looking forward to the exciting challenges she will face everyday in her new position.
