Katie Koncan joins the development team

July 15, 2013

Say hello to Katie Koncan, joining the PuSh International Performing Arts team as the Individual Giving Coordinator. PuSh is thrilled to welcome Katie on board as we expand our development department, headed by Development Manager Jocelyn Macdougall, to help the Festival strengthen and grow into the future.

About Katie
Katie Koncan recently completed her BA in Art and Cultural Studies from SFU where she primarily focused on feminist theory in art, studied western art history at UBC, and is excited to be putting her education to use within the arts.  She has had the chance to work in a variety of cultural institutions including the SFU Gallery as a research assistant, the Roedde House Museum as program assistant and volunteer fundraiser, as is currently also working at the Vancouver Art Gallery in Membership.  She first became drawn to non-profits and fundraising as a fundraiser for the SFU Alumni Appeal; she loved having the chance to speak with donors, and find out why they wanted to support the same things that she did.  During her time with the Alumni Appeal she spoke with hundreds of donors and mentored incoming fundraisers as a team leader, which led her to consider development as a career.
