PuSh People: Introducing Jo Shin, Communications Associate
September 17, 2013
With just four months until the 2014 PuSh International Performing Arts Festival, it seems the PuSh office is growing in numbers each week. This month we introduce you to Jo Shin, our new Communications Associate.
Jo started with PuSh in 2012, as a member of the Audience Services Team, supporting patrons, visitors and artists with their show schedules and Festival experiences.
In her new role, Jo will be all across PuSh Festival’s online marketing; including Facebook & Twitter social media campaigns, e-news updates, website and app content, as well as supporting Communications Manager, Bonnie Sun. The 10th anniversary of PuSh Festival will be the hottest winter arts event not to be missed! Follow #PushFest, the official Festival hashtag, to catch Jo’s work and to stay up to date with the latest Festival news!
Jo Shin’s Bio
Jo brings a range of international festival and digital media experience to PuSh. From not-for-profit arts to corporate organizations, Jo has facilitated innovative and creative projects through various marketing and web-tech roles.
Looking for ways to combine her love of the arts, community and travel she has worked with the likes of Sydney Film Festival, Reykjavik Fashion Festival, Vancouver Queer Film Festival and UBS Pride Americas. Jo has a Bachelor of Digital Media from the University of New South Wales (Sydney, Australia), as well as completing her International Business Internship in New York City.
Jo fervently believes Degrassi Junior High has been Canada’s greatest cultural export and can be found zipping through Vancouver on her white 1984 Malvern Star BMX, named Marilyn – probably to do some groceries.
