Illuminating inspiration: Putting the spotlight on art

January 31, 2017

For three years running, CDm2 LIGHTWORKS has been a proud sponsor of the PuSh Fesitval. This year, they are the presenting sponsor of Black Arm Band’s dirtsong, February 4 at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre. Here, in their own words, is why CDm2 LIGHTWORKS continues to support the PuSh Festival year after year.

Much like the PuSh Festival’s vision of expanding the horizon of the arts and bringing together multi-disciplines, CDm2 LIGHTWORKS aims to illuminate inspiration and help create brilliant new work.

We are committed to supporting the arts in Vancouver. It is an opportunity for us to give back and take inspiration from artists locally and from around the globe.”

—Darren Luce, President and Managing Director CDm2 LIGHTWORKS.

Lighting is a fascinating discipline. It incorporates art and science and blends aesthetic and engineering. It serves a practical purpose but can also offer luxurious effects to a space. At CDm2 LIGHTWORKS, we help our clients to bring together architecture, design, engineering, lighting light media and specialty systems to create extraordinary spaces that deliver on their design vision.

We have had the privilege to be part of extraordinary projects throughout our city, contributing to not only its beauty and aesthetic, but also it its vibrant culture and identity. In fact, we’ve contributed to many performance venues across the city, including the Queen Elizabeth Theatre, where the dirtsong performance will take place.
