It Has Begun

January 21, 2009

That’s right folks, we’ve arrived!

The 2009 PuSh Festival has begun. This week has already been chock full of shows and events, and it’s only Wednesday!

Monday night we had our “unauthorized” opening at the Roundhouse with two performances of Ray Lee’s Siren.

PuSh’s friends came out in droves to check out the performances and mingle with an arts lovin’ crowd. That’s our fearless leader, Executive Director Norman Armour, with the Writer’s Festival’s Ann McDonnell, to the right.

The overall consensus for Siren? Amazing. Symphonic and visually powerful, Siren is not to be missed.

chelfitsch Theatre Company also came out for the “unauthorized” opening on Monday night (that’s them below!); their show Five Days in March, opens tonight at Performance Works at 9pm. There are still a few tickets available, so call our Box Office at 604.605.8284 or come down and purchase tickets at the door.
Last night was the Official Opening at the Waterfront Theatre and Ronnie Burkett’s Billy Twinkly, Requiem for a Golden Boy. How that man does it, I’ll never know. Watching the show, it’s hard to believe that it’s only one man handling all those marionettes.

The 2009 Festival is off to a running start and we look forward to seeing you at one of our shows!
