Jason Dubois to leave PuSh Festival Collaborative Leadership Team following successful 2022 Festival

February 23, 2022

The PuSh Board of Directors and Staff wish to express our gratitude for the leadership and guidance that Jason Dubois has exhibited throughout his two year and five-month tenure with the Festival. Dubois joined the PuSh staff in October 2019 as Managing Director and was a part of the team that delivered the highly successful 2020 Festival, which closed just three weeks before pandemic restrictions began rolling out in BC. From the spring of 2020 until the recent establishment of the Collaborative Leadership Team, Dubois was the sole manager of the organization, facilitating a board transition and the establishment of a new transitional board of directors. Jason was part of the joint board and staff committee that created the collaborative leadership model and the recruitment of Dr. Margo Kane and Gabrielle Martin to form the leadership team. As part of the leadership team, Jason managed the rebuilding and re-engagement of the staff compliment that came together to produce the largely sold-out 2022 Festival, despite significant COVID related barriers.

“Jason’s dedication to PuSh, and it’s mandate to present exemplary arts practice, has been greatly appreciated. As a leader in the organization, he showed great resilience through challenging times. His contributions have been integral to the organization and the transition it is going through. His work will have a lasting effect on the ongoing success of the Festival.”

Camyar Chai | President, PuSh Board of Directors

“I am grateful for having had the opportunity to work with Jason as part of the Collaborative Leadership Team at PuSh. His experience and generosity have made my transition into this role a gratifying experience and our work together has positioned PuSh well for its future success.”

Gabrielle Martin | Director of Programming, Collaborative Leadership Team

The PuSh Staff and Board collectively wish Jason all the best and know that he will continue to contribute to the performing arts community in his future endeavours.
