Joel Solomon, Dana Bass Solomon & Mira Oreck Co-Host Our Summer Fundraiser Event
July 02, 2014
The PuSh International Performing Arts Festival loves a good party, and always wants to share its vision and energy with new and existing friends. On June 3rd Joel Solomon and his wife Dana Bass Solomon, along with PuSh Festival Fundraising Committee member Mira Oreck, co-hosted a benefit cocktail party in support of the Festival.
Over fifty guests, both new faces and long-time supporters of the Festival, mingled at Joel and Dana’s beautiful Gastown loft to hear award-winning author and story teller Ivan Coyote (of 2014 Club PuSh hit performance, Gender Failure) read their hilarious and heartfelt stories of finding community and identity in Vancouver. Our own small community of guests arrived from Vancouver and beyond to enjoy each other’s company, and the scrumptious delicacies provided by locally owned and run culinary playground, The Dirty Apron. The event was a great success for the Festival, going well into the night, and an exciting one for attendees. Not only did guests rub shoulders with a PuSh Festival artist, but also received 2015 PuSh Festival insider sneak peeks from Artistic & Executive Director, Norman Armour.
We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Joel, Dana and Mira for co-
hosting the wonderful event on behalf of the PuSh International Performing Arts Festival. Our thanks also go out to The Dirty Apron for their delicious creations, and especially to everyone who attended and generously made a donation. Your gifts will continue to keep groundbreaking performing arts alive in Vancouver over three weeks each January. The PuSh International Performing Arts Festival would not grow and evolve as it has done the last ten years without the support of our amazing donors!
