Update (February 4, 2016): Since our last post, we have met our $10,000 goal and every donation has been matched dollar-for-dollar, turning that $10,000 into $20,000. Today, two new donors have stepped forward to increase our matching funds to $13,500. Donate now to have your gift matched and make the most impact! For the third year in a row, I’m thrilled to announce a matching campaign where every donation made during the 2016 PuSh Festival will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $10,000. The leadership and generosity of an anonymous donor and the McGrane-Pearson Endowment Fund held at the Vancouver Foundation make this exciting and important campaign possible.
At the time of posting, we’re only $1,750 away from the $10,000 goal – I would like to sincerely thank each and every donor who has stepped forward and made a gift. As a registered charity, PuSh needs the support of individuals like you in order to exist.
Donations directly support the art that we present during the Festival each year. You may be wondering exactly what your dollars do though…
It’s our base of nearly 400 individuals—just regular people like you and me who see the transformative value of live art—that came forward in the last year, made a gift of what they could manage, and made the launch of a show like monumental possible. That is what PuSh donors do.
If you were in the room last Thursday for monumental, you were able to witness that incredible, epic, whirlwind performance locally because of PuSh donors. Being able to experience and feel every note and every foot stomp, and have the breath taken right out of your lungs, was a product of their generosity. That is what PuSh donors make possible. And that’s big.
Interesting and thought-provoking performances from the around the world wouldn’t be brought to Vancouver’s stages and streets, and free events to directly engage with the art and artists (like the PuSh Assembly) wouldn’t be possible without charitable donations.
When you donate to PuSh this year, you can know that you’re not only getting the most bang for your buck, you’re also changing the face of performing arts in Vancouver. You’re inspiring change within yourself and within our city.
