Tessa Rae Kuz

December 15, 2022

Tessa Rae Kuz is from the Treaty 4 Territory of Regina, Saskatchewan and graduated from University X (formerly Ryerson) with a BFA in Performance Dance. Her approach to dance has continued to evolve through an ecological lens as she seeks to weave threads of connection between the local modern-contemporary and street dance scenes, inviting a cross-pollination of perspectives and creative disciplines. She is honoured to be continuing her involvement with The Legacy Project for Margie Gillis’ 50th anniversary season, in which she performs both solo and group works choreographed by Margie. Tessa is grateful for the opportunity to expand her body of work through a long-term mentorship with Robin Poitras and Edward Poitras, generously supported by Dance Saskatchewan and New Dance Horizons.
