The Birdhouse documents the rebirth of a beloved Queer sanctuary. As fun as it is to party the night away, you have to take precautions to keep yourself safe — and for Queer women and Trans people, the Warehouse (or Eastside Studios) was a refuge.

Performance Works
Performance Works is a flexible and beautiful performance space with a wooden floor, surrounded by impressive wooden beams, and flanked with large roll-up doors to let in the gorgeous scenery that surrounds the building. There is a bar service area, a large outdoor patio, and outdoor performance space right next to Ron Basford Park. It is perfect for contemporary performance, independent theatre productions, festivals, and workshops.

Rescued from demolition and fully restored, this 100-year-old historical jewel is The Cultch’s newest venue. Not only does the building have a huge historical significance to this city, but it is also purpose-built for the performing arts featuring 355 seats, a new glass lobby, 1940s art deco finish, a proscenium stage, fly tower, orchestra pit, and excellent acoustics and sightlines. This space is ideal for musicals, comedy shows and live music.
